We now employ hundreds of staff; we have two offices in Bolton as well as a London office and five other offices across the country.
Underpinning the attractive distribution opportunity which Broker Direct provides, is the positive approach we bring to working with underwriters. Our strategy is not one of simply trying to drive down insurer rates and increase commissions; of course we want our brokers to have the best business propositions possible, but we also recognise that in the longer-term there is more benefit to be gained from arrangements which are attractive to both brokers and underwriters.
So while brokers will always be at the heart of our business, we understand that a one-sided relationship is unlikely to thrive, which is why we take a longer-term view and see insurers as part of the success of the Broker Direct offering.
We focus on fair and long-lasting relationships; we aim to provide profitable accounts for our supporting insurers so they continue to offer our brokers attractive products, backed by competitive premiums and commissions.
