Over 70% of our shares are owned by the brokers who place business with us. In all, we have over 650 broking firms which between them place over £2bn premium in personal and commercial lines products. Since launch in 1997, our business has grown to the stage where Broker Direct now trades over £130m premium in personal and commercial lines products.
Our shares are traded on Sharemark. The Sharemark dealing facility is operated by The Share Centre Limited. The Share Centre is a member firm of the London Stock Exchange and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Sharemark is not a recognised investment exchange, recognised clearing house or regulated market within the meaning of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive. The Sharemark dealing facilities constitute a Multilateral Trading Facility.
